CareersOilGas.com – Launch Due in July

Have been working a lot on our new oil jobsite, CareersOilGas.com which is due for public launch in July – we hope the 1st. Tidying up lots of codes and getting feedback from early users about better ways to improve their online recruitment experience.

We are starting an online marketing campaign for candidates and recruiters from next week, and generate enough prudent buzz in the early launch stages.

The site has started gaining some SEO grounds, getting indexed in search engines and growing in some rankings. Again, its early days.

We have experienced quite a few interests from major oil & gas recruiters and will further establish our offerings while also listening to them to better understand their needs.

There is competition – which only but makes things more interesting. Will write more updates on this and other endeavors in the days to come.

Rebranded Crexia: Launched Oil Jobsite

I am quite pleased to present a new smart 1 page website for Crexia Limited, a rebranded UK online recruitment firm.

The old version will soon be seen on www.crexiaconsulting.com, which will continue to handle Executive Search assignments.

However, the new Crexia Limited will focus on developing online jobsite, job boards and recruitment portals for UK & International markets.

Having said that, its with pleasure that we have launched today a brand new site for the Oil & Gas industry called – CareersOilGas.com

We have been working on this for the last few months, and its currently in its Alpha stage.

I will write more about this in a few days, and will spend the rest of the week developing its beta version which will be available from July 2009. The new site is open for registration by International oil jobs seekers and oil recruiters.

Back to Work; Most Job Searches Today

Today, January 12, 2009 is the acclaimed most depressing day in 2009. Just so you know, this is typical in the UK and also felt in other parts of the world, maybe in Nigeria.

The second Monday of the year, when people are back to their jobs after the holiday excesses, and New Year resolutions (quit smoking, loose weight, health healthier etc) haveĀ  gone outside of the window and the same boss is breathing over your shoulder at work – you want out and people tend to look for new jobs.

Crexia started off 2009 on a good note and I am currently working on a few search assignments, while coordinating the team efforts in Lagos. The roles are with some major Banks and Telecoms firms in Nigeria. Typical candidates come with at least 15 years and ideally, candidates will have wide and relevant International experience.
