Elizabeth Lupfer, Senior Manager, Employee Experience at Verizon US presented a session titled Implementing a Social Workplace Strategy: Employees First. Below are her slides, followed by a few additional thoughts.
One major thing I took away from Elizabeth’s presentation is that employees need control over what is public and what is private on their individual intranet dashboard.
Her company users points, status updates, progress bars, and other tools to track projects. This is done on a personal basis, but if an employee chooses, s/he can share his/her progress with other employees, allowing people to offer help when needed.
