Social Recruiting Coordinator Job Profile: Wunderland

Today, I stumbled on a job posted on Jobmagic.com by Wunderland, based in Chicago. The title is for a Social Recruiting Coordinator.

A few weeks ago, I kinda generated a suggested job description for a possible future job title within the Social Recruiting space.

While my proposed JD had a stronger tilt towards a traditional HR & Recruiting job profile, what I saw posted by Wunderland leans more towards Social Media, and maybe demonstrates more fun and excitement within. Mind you, they hire creative people and marketing talent, in the Chicago area.

I have reproduced the job here, also as a guide for people looking for relevant profiles for in-house Social Recruiting candidates.

Your job will entail:

–Being the keeper of our large list of Talent, entering new candidates, updating their availability, keeping in contact with them, making them feel valued (which of course they are!);
–Helping the Recruiting Director by getting in touch with Talent via phone, email, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and any other means possible, and never giving up;
–Building a fan base and community on our Facebook page and engaging those who join;
–Reading relevant industry blogs and sharing great information via Twitter, Facebook and other networks, and adding informative and helpful comments on those blogs;
–Writing pithy job postings and then disseminating them via our networks;
–Answering a high volume of general inquiry emails from people seeking work;
–Socializing with industry folk by attending a lot of events, mostly in the evenings, on behalf of WunderLand;
–Contributing story ideas for our blog;
–Using WordPress to update our web content as needed.

Requirements:

–Minimum of 1 year of recruiting experience, either from a staffing agency or in-house recruiting group;
–Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Web Design or Development;
–Mastery of using Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media networking sites and tools;
–A refined ability to multi-task and stay focused and organized;
–Exceptional writing/blogging and verbal communication skills;
–The ability to attend evening events that end as late as 10 p.m.;
–A very outgoing personality and a smile as big as the Cheshire Cat.

We’d love it if you also have:

–Experience using FBML and building Facebook fan pages
–Solid web development skills – HTML, CSS
–SEO keywords understanding
–Experience building a social media presence for a business
